College Grove family photographer {Maggie & Gabby}

When one of our friends/old neighbors called me about taking a few photos of her two beautiful girls for their 2014 Christmas card, I jumped at the chance. We used to live just behind Maggie & Gabby’s house and I knew from experience that these two girls are amazingly lovely inside and out. We sure do miss seeing their faces so it was great to get them in front of the camera- and their adorable fur-baby Talulah too!

Nashville, Tennessee Couples Photographer {Tim + Kate}

A few weeks ago I got an email from Tim inquiring about a photo session for him and his love, Kate. They live in Florida and their 7th anniversary was coming up. Every year to celebrate they travel to and explore a different city in the U.S. This year it was Nashville!

Tim wanted to surprise Kate with a couples session since they hadn’t had any professional photos of them together since their wedding day- and he knew how badly this was something that Kate wanted. What a great guy!! And to top it all off, he made her a penny ring as a token of their copper anniversary. Way to keep the romance alive, guys!!

We spent an afternoon together exploring one of Nashville’s beautiful parks together, chatting about travel and British television. I truly enjoyed every second of getting to know this beautiful couple!

Here are some of my favorites from our afternoon together-

Tim and Kate, it was so lovely to meet both of you and I sure hope you loved Nashville!!

Nashville, Tennessee wedding photographer {Cory + Allison’s Loveless Barn Wedding}

I have to admit that I have been looking forward to this wedding at the Loveless Barn in Nashville all year long. Allison & Cory asked me to photograph their wedding what seems like forever ago! Earlier this year we hit up Percy Priest for their engagement session and had such a good time together. I felt sure that their wedding day would follow suit and be just as much fun- and it was! Cory and Allison are just adorable together and I loved spending the day with them and their families and friends!

Over the last two years since I’ve been photographing weddings I have photographed a lot of first dances. But this one- it was my very favorite. Cory’s grandfather joined the band on the stage and sang “Hello Darlin” while everyone in the room sniffed happy little sniffles. It was an amazing start to a fabulous reception.

Little did I know that Cory’s grandfather was not the only singer in the group. Allison’s grandmother wasn’t about to be upstaged. She rocked it out to “You Shook Me All Night Long”. Seriously. Can I just say that I want to be her when I grow up?

The next thing I knew I was standing in the middle of the most fabulous karaoke performances I’m just sure the Loveless Barn has ever seen.

I’m pretty sure you can tell how much I just adore this couple and this wedding! Allison & Cory I am so very happy for you two. Thank you so much for asking me to capture your fantastic day!

Pulaski, Tennessee wedding photographer {Stephanie + Patrick}

This small wedding had me from hello. When Stephanie emailed me about photographing hers and Patrick’s intimate wedding, I had no idea that my face would be full of smiles & my eyes full of tears the entire day.

I photographed Patrick’s family last year, so his face wasn’t unfamiliar, but I had never met Stephanie until the minute she walked into the Pulaski courthouse to marry her love. It took me all of 10 seconds to see that the love between these two was enough to make a person melt.

I loved the details of their day- from the Korean wedding geese to Patrick’s amazing socks to the perfect bouquet that Patrick’s mom, Cheryl, made for the beautiful bride. Stephanie’s face when she saw the bouquet was just priceless.

Patrick and Stephanie’s first look was a beautiful moment to witness.

The ceremony was just as breathtaking.

After the ceremony we all headed out to the Bryan family farm for some family photos (after a little pocket handkerchief adjusting). Cheryl and Gary’s home is just amazing, tucked away out in the country and full of goodness.

Special family members who weren’t present in person were still present nonetheless.

After we finished family photos Stephanie asked if I would follow her and Patrick while they had a quiet moment together. Little did I (or anyone else there) know what amazing trick she had up her sleeve. A song that she wrote and played for her love. Be still my heart.

This wedding, this couple & this family- not sure there will ever be another one like it in front of my camera, but I am so thankful to have been there to capture this amazing day. Patrick & Stephanie, thank you so much for asking!

Brentwood Tennessee wedding photographer, Ravenswood Mansion Wedding {Dyan + Ben}

This wedding day had my heart from the moment I got out of my car. The venue, in Brentwood, just opened for events this year, and it is amazing. The weather was perfect. And the couple, Dyan & Ben, are just as lovely to be around as they appear in the photos below. Surround by their family and friends, it truly was a day full of love and celebration.

I’d love to share some of my favorite glimpses into their wedding day. So many amazing images to share that it was hard to narrow it down!

You may have noticed a recurring couple in the images above. I just couldn’t help but fall in love with those two- Ben’s grandmother and grandfather. They gave Ben & Dyan a run for their money for the title of most adorable couple of the night. It was to everyone’s delight (but no huge surprise) that they won the longest-married-couple dance! What a wonderful example of a beautiful marriage.

Ben’s grandparents weren’t the only family members to keep an eye on that night. Dyan’s brother, Ryan (who could also be her twin!) and his already fiancĂ© snagged both the garter AND the bouquet! Hey guys- call me!

Dyan & Ben, I’m so happy that I was a part of your beautiful day and was asked to capture such a fabulous couple on their wedding day!

As always, a huge thank you to my wonderful second shooter, Melissa Dudek! You’re fabulous friend!

College Grove, Tennessee family photographer {Lynlee, one year}

I have been photographing this sweet girl for nearly a year now. I love watching sweet babies grow from session to session. It’s no secret that I’m a little partial to redheads and Lynlee has always been such a joy to photograph.

This month she turned one and her mom, Jamie, asked me to come for her first birthday party and for a few updated photos of the birthday girl. I am so glad to have this family as clients and friends. Here are some of my favorite photos from my day with them-

Happy birthday Lynlee Rose!! Can’t wait to see you again soon!

Columbia, Tennessee family photographer {the Williams clan}

When Anna contacted me about photographing her three kids I knew it would be fabulous. I had seen her crew before and they are one good looking bunch. Add in their beautiful farm as a backdrop and beautiful light- well they had one happy photographer on their hands. I love so many images from this session.

Meet Emma, Cole and Lainey- and take a peek at some of my favorites.

Anna- thank you so much for asking me to do this session. I just adore these images and hope you do too!

Murfreesboro, Tennessee child photographer {Hudson, 3 months}

My favorite part of doing a first year package is getting to see my tiny little clients several times during their first year. It’s only been 3 months since I saw Hudson for his newborn session but boy has he changed! Alert & even cuter than I remembered. It just makes me that much more excited about seeing him at 6 months!

Here are some of my favorite from our session this week-

See you in three months, sweet Hudson! I truly can’t wait!

Leoma, Tennessee wedding photographer {Hannah + Jared, wedding day}

Last month I made a trip down to Lawrence County to photograph the wedding day of Hannah and Jared. They are such a sweet couple. You may remember seeing their engagement session from back in the Spring. We had so much fun together during that session that I knew their wedding day would just be lovely. And it was. It was carefully planned and all of their friends and family came together at their childhood church to celebrate their love and commitment to each other. It was certainly a day to remember.

Here is their wedding day through my eyes-

Hannah and Jared chose to see each other for the first time as she walked down the aisle. Instead of a traditional first look, Hannah wanted to do a first look with her sweet Daddy & brother. Their faces were priceless. And just before the ceremony, Hannah spent a few minutes praying with her father. It’s hard to beat capturing a moment like that.

Hannah & Jared, thank you both so much for trusting me to capture your wedding day! It was truly my privilege to spend such a special day with you and your family!

Also a big shout out to my fabulous second shooter, Jessica Caver! You’re awesome!

Franklin, Tennessee event photographer {Julia & Claire’s Pony Birthday Party!}

I am SO behind on blogging my weddings & sessions! Between our recent move out to the country and weekends packed full of sessions I just haven’t been able to stay caught up on here- but let’s try to make a little progress on that today!

A couple of months ago Julia & Claire’s mom contacted me about photographing their birthday party. Amanda (their mom) planned the most precious My Little Pony Party complete with a face painter and pony rides. I love photographing parties- watching both kids and adults kick back and enjoy the festivities, and this party was certainly no exception!

Here are some images from their adorable birthday celebration!

Amanda, thank you so much for asking to document this special day for your beautiful girls!
